Our connection with our community is deeply important to every member on our team. We all have different passions but we are committed to giving back to the local community. Throughout the year, we will be highlighting various non-profits that our team is involved with, in hopes to collaborate together and raise awareness.

This month's featured non-profit is the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Katie Brennan Kane, Vice President of Operations & Client Services, volunteers at the Animal Rescue League in Brewster.

"There's a famous quote by Muhammad Ali that states, "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth." Volunteer work was mandatory for me growing up and throughout the years I've been in soup kitchens handing out meals or putting together care packages for our service men and women abroad. I've always had a soft spot for animals so it was a natural progression towards volunteering at the Animal Rescue League in Brewster. To be able to help the incredibly dedicated and hard-working staff with simple tasks to ease their workload or to sit with an animal that is scared, unsure of its surroundings and needs comfort is such a gift. I'm honored to be there each week and to hopefully make a small impact in the life of an animal in need." - Katie Brennan Kane, Vice President of Operations & Client Services at Beacon Financial Planning and Animal Rescue League Volunteer
